Welcome to Presnt. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Presnt mobile application ("App") and our website. By downloading, accessing, or using our service, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.
1. Purpose & Acceptable Use
Presnt is a dual-purpose attendance tracking and schedule visualization utility designed for both institutional and personal use:
- Institutional Mode: Admins, co-admins, and teachers manage groups, classes, schedules, and log student attendance. Student users have limited, read-only access to view schedules and check their class attendance history.
- Personal Mode (Self-Tracking): Individual users may track their own schedules, subjects, and study hours independently. In this mode, the user serves as their own administrator and is solely responsible for creating and maintaining their schedules and tracking history.
- Usage Restrictions: You agree not to exploit the App for fraudulent activities, attempt unauthorized database access, or bypass role and privacy settings.
2. Account Responsibilities
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials (such as Google Sign-In or email credentials) secure and confidential.
- You agree to provide accurate and truthful profile metadata (such as your correct name and, where applicable, your student roll number) to ensure correct class registration.
3. Service Disclaimer & Accuracy
- Helper Tool Only: Presnt is designed to assist teachers and schools in keeping class schedules and logging attendance. It is not guaranteed to be error-free or uninterrupted.
- Not an Official Legal Record: Presnt is not an official legal attendance record. Educational institutions should independently verify logs if they are used for official, regulatory, legal, or funding compliance purposes.
- "As-Is" Provision: The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
4. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Presnt and its developers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to damages for:
- Errors, discrepancies, or inaccuracies in student attendance reports.
- Temporary server downtime, data synchronization lags, or loss of access.
- Failure of push notifications or alerts to deliver on time.
- Loss of data, files, or records stored within the backend (Supabase).
5. Account Termination & Group Removal
- Group Admins and Teachers hold authority to remove members or suspend student access from their specific institutional groups at any time.
- We reserve the right to suspend or delete individual user accounts that violate these Terms or engage in malicious behavior that disrupts App performance.
6. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
