Presnt ("we," "our," or "us") provides an attendance tracking application designed for educational institutions, schools, and organizations. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use our mobile application ("Presnt") and our website.
1. Scope & Mixed Audience Statement
Presnt is an attendance tracking utility used in educational and institutional contexts. Our audience includes both adults (teachers, administrators) and minors aged 13 to 17 (students). Presnt is not intended for, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from, children under the age of 13.
2. Data Collection (What We Collect)
We collect only the information necessary to provide and improve the attendance tracking service:
- Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your name and email address (obtained securely via Google Sign-In or through manual email registration).
- Profile Metadata: Student users have the option to provide a Roll Number to identify themselves within their class sheets.
- Attendance Records: We collect and store logs of student attendance (whether a student is present or absent, the date, time, subject code, and class group).
- Class Schedules & Groups: Admins, co-admins, and teachers create class groups (sections), academic subjects, schedules (class dates, times, room numbers), and associated student lists.
- Push Notification Tokens: We collect and store Expo push notification tokens to send class reminders (e.g., 15 minutes before starting), attendance updates, and schedule changes.
3. Account Provisioning, Consent & Modes of Use
Presnt provides two modes of use depending on the context:
- Institutional Mode: Student accounts are created by students independently signing up, and entering a unique invite code provided by their Teacher or Admin. This submits a "Join Request," which must be approved by the authorized Admin, Co-Admin, or Teacher before the student is admitted to the class roster.
- Personal Mode (Self-Tracking): Users may toggle the app to personal mode to track their own schedules, subjects, and study sessions completely independently. In this mode, no institutional code is required, and all schedules and logs are personal and private to the individual user.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We share your data with the following third-party services to operate the application:
- Supabase: Our backend infrastructure, database, and authentication provider. All user profiles, schedules, and attendance logs are securely stored in Supabase's cloud database environments.
- Google Sign-In: Used to securely authenticate users. Google shares your name and email address with us upon sign-in.
- Expo Push Notification Service: Used to transmit push tokens and route notifications (such as class starting notifications) to your device.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
Data is stored for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide services to your class, institution, or personal tracking logs.
- Account Deletion: Users can request the deletion of their accounts and associated personal data at any time by emailing presnt.support@gmail.com. We will process these requests within 1-2 business days.
- Group & Personal Management: Group Admins and Teachers can delete groups and upcoming class schedules (classes cannot be deleted after their scheduled time has passed). Deleting a group permanently deletes the associated attendance history and membership records. In Personal Mode, you can delete your own custom groups, subjects, and upcoming schedules, which permanently deletes them from our active database.
6. Children's Privacy (Under 13)
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has created an account, we will take immediate steps to delete their account and associated data. 7. User Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. You may exercise these rights at any time by contacting us via the support details below.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
